21 Aug 2009Help us celebrate turning 50!

The 50th Anniversary of the Natural Health Society of Australia is fast approaching, and we are asking all of our supporters to help mark this incredible milestone in 2010.
To make sure we engage you as much as possible in our half-century celebrations, we are now seeking your ideas on the best ways to guarantee that our 50th year really goes off with a bang.
A not-for-profit organisation, the NHS has been tirelessly promoting healthy lifestyle as the key to good health and longevity since its inaugural meeting was held in Sydney on 27th September 1960.
The big question now is: What should we do next year to commemorate this remarkable achievement? Our dedicated and passionate committee members and head office team have already put their thinking caps on and are tossing around a wide range of exciting ideas. Just a few of those include:
  • Producing a special anniversary issue of this magazine.
  • Holding a grand anniversary dinner for members.
  • Offering anniversary gifts for NHS members and graduates of natural therapies colleges.
  • Producing a DVD on the history of the NHS and its principles and practices.
  • Participating in the National Folk Festival in Canberra over Easter 2010.
  • Increasing our online presence through Twitter, Facebook, Wikipedia and other social media.
  • Approaching media outlets for coverage of our celebrations.
Why not let us know what you would like to see included in our celebrations?
If you would like to comment on any of the prospective activities listed above, offer some great ideas of your own, or volunteer your skills or services for this big event, please call us on (02) 4721 5068, email or simply post a comment below.

stacey brodrickI think it would be good to see you on facebook, then members could spread your word to likeminded folks. It would also be good to see an anniversary edition of the mag, maybe republishing some of the more popular but older articles along with new stuff.

RobAgree with the anniversary edition and the special DVD.
